- Words From The Cheif Instructor -

Ladies and gentlemen the following information will show how the act of exercising is divinely designed and is not something to be taken lightly or something that is put off until you get around to it; or even put aside until you feel up to doing it.  From this point on steps will be taken to show in detail how exercising leads to better quality health.
We will start by looking at I Corinthians 3:16 (in the Old King James Version), which states, “We are temples of The Most High, but don’t know it, where the Spirit (or Holy Spirit) dwells".  And in addition to that verse we need to look at I Corinthians 6:20.  This verse states, "both body (temple) and spirit belongs to the Most High".
Now as we look at that information I pose this question, “Are we doing for our bodies (temples) and spirit all that we can do for the body (temple) and spirit in order to complete the works that the Most High has called on us to complete?”  In other words, are we taking care of the temple and spirit, that the Most High has put us in charge of, each and every day?  More specifically, like with any type of building, temple, church or synagogue, are we maintaining it, keeping  it up and keeping it as clean as we possibly could?
Well, as in Jeremiah 2:22 it says – though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much sope, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord.  From this scripture we find that washing the external body does absolutely nothing for the internal body.
Now the question is, what could be done for the internal cleansing of the body (temple)?
Well, as Psalm 51:7 tell us – purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean, wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.  Is not Hyssop an herb?  So what we learn from this scripture is to clean out the internal body (temple) by way of herbs.
Believe it or not it takes more than just herbal cleansing of the body internally.  There is another type of cleansing that is necessary; and this type of cleansing is exercise.  I say this because as it state in Hebrews 5:14 – But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Since this verse does not give any information that we can look to for examples of exercising, we would have to go to 2 Samuel 18:26.  Hear we find that it says – and David sat between the two gates and the watchman went up to the roof over the gate unto the wall and lifted up his eyes, and looked, and beheld a man running alone.
To get another example of exercise we should go to (         ) where it says – Jesus walked with his disciples while eating fruit from the fields.
But a more elaborate type of exercise is explained 2 Samuel 22:34-35 and Genesis 32:25.  In 2 Samuel 22:34-35 it says -:33 - The Most High is my strength and my power.  And he maketh my way perfect (complete) :34 – He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.  :35 – He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.  Which is clarified in more detail in Genesis 32:25 when it says – And Jacob was left alone: and there he wrestled a man with him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
By cleansing the body with herbs and exercising through the methods that we’ve looked at thus far, what are the benefits of doing these things?                                                                                           As Proverbs 3:8 says – It shall be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones.  And in addition Proverbs 4:22 says – for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
But what happens to those that chose to ignore this type of information?  We get our answer from I Corinthians 3:17 which says – If any man defile (to make dirty) the temple of the Most High, him shall the Most High destroy; for the temple of the Most High is Holy, which temple ye are.
To take this discussion a step further I would boldly point out that there is another form of exercise that is depicted in the Bible and in number of different places.  This elaborate systematic form of exercise is called Martial Arts.
Though many people have, at one time or another, been known to look at Martial Arts as a negative entity; saying that it is violent or even satanic, to those individuals I ask the question, "How could this system of defense be so bad when it is mentioned in the Old Testament and the New Testament of the Bible?  How is it that a lot of the great men of the Bible (some example are Jacob, Jesus, the twelve disciples) are spoken about in sermons worldwide, time and time again, knew Martial Arts? How is it Martial Arts was created for the purpose of protection (specifically the protection of the tombs of the Pharaoh’s along the Nile Valley where the Nile River runs, the same Nile River that Moses was set upon by his mother to save him from being kill by the Pharaoh (King) of that time period)?
To go further, as we continue to sift deeper into this sophisticated system of defense, how is it also possible to find exercises in the Martial Arts system that tones and strengthens the muscular system, strengthens the skeletal structure and even the bones directly?  How is it that this system helps to increase blood flow and circulation; which increases organ health and helps them to perform more efficiently?
Even though such negativity is directed towards this system called Martial Arts, still the following types of exercise can be found within it: low and high impact aerobics, weight training (your own body weight), strength training and endurance training.  Of course the list goes on but we must move on.
